Kitibha(Psoriasis Treatment in Ayurveda)

Psoriasis is a type of Kushta (Vataja), it causes its vitiation in Pitta, Skin, Blood, Muscle Tissues etc.

It starts with small papules and later there will be enlargement of silvery scales of the papule. It can appear anywhere in the body and mainly occur in Sacrum, Occipit, Elbows and Knees.

Bleeding occurs if the Scales are removed which will be pin point bleeding.

Treatment:-

Shodhana is the main line of management (Elimination Therapy) like Virechana(Purgation), Raktamokshana (Blood Letting), Vamana.

Followed by which Snehna should be done with Tikta(Bitter) Drugs Medicated Ghee.

Externally Application of Some specially prepared oils are also having good results.

Hikka

Vayu along with Kapha obstructs Prana, Udaka, Annavaha Srotas and cause Hiccough.

In this disease Prana and Udana Vata moves rapidly in opposite direction pulling up liver, spleen, and intestine along with Hic Hic sound production.

Treatment:-

Practising Praanayama(Technique of controlled Respiration

Giving a sudden shock to patient by abusing, Threating, Surprising or by Pricking with Needle.

Vamana, Nasya(Instilling drops to Nose), Purgation, Enema also shows good results.

Same Treatment mentioned for Asthma can be given here also, that is one should give Snehana(Oleation Therapy), followed by which swedana should be done.

Applying Lavana Taila(Oil mixed with Salt) over chest should give good results since all these procedures cuase Kapha to get liquefied and makes to Vata get Pacified there by getting Relief.

VataRakta(Gout Treatment in Ayurveda)

VataRakta is caused when both vata and rakta after getting vitiated in body, circulates in whole body and settles in Great toe.

VataRakta can be correlated with Gout in which there will be increased accumulation of Uric acid. Which is directly linked with high intake of Protein rich Food.

Incase Of Deep Seated Gout:-

(GambhiraVataRakta) treatment is mainly Shodhana (Elimination Therapy) should be done that is Virechana(Purgating) and Raktamokshana(Blood Letting) according to the disease condition.

Basti(Enema with Kashaya and Oil alternatively) Should be given.

Later (Snehana) Oleationshoulb given to the patient both externally and internally.

In case of Superficial type of Gout(Uttana) applying paste over the part, pouring medicated drugs to the part, Oleating and massaging the part etc can be done.

Other than this :- Internally medicines can also be given according to the Dosha factor involved.

One Should reduce food items like Meat, Meat of aquatic animals, Alcohol, Salt, Bitter, Oily, food items.

Reduce Intake of food with Protein content.

Increase intake of Water.

Frozen Shoulder Treatment

Frozen Shoulder is condition in which there will be only restricted movement for the hands, especially while rotating or raising hands.

Frozen Shoulder is caused due to( Accumulated Aama) inflammation of the Shoulder Joint, however this disease is Self remitting after a long gap.

Treatment:-

First of all the treatment the treatment should be aimed at removing the Inflammation or Aama. For this externally we can apply Drugs in paste form that will help to reduce the inflammation.

Internally giving Diuretics also helps to relieve Inflammation.

Followed by this one should Swedana(Sudation) to the patient.

Patient Should asked to perform some of exercise that helps him to relieve from Frozen Shoulder.

Internally other medicines can be given

Erectile Dysfunction Treatment in Ayurveda

Erectile Dysfunction may be caused due to Physical or Psychological problem of the patient. Hence both should be rectified.

In Psychological Problems, it may be caused due to any previous bad experience or it might be caused due to any misbelieve that is deep rooted in him or else it will be due to other Psychological factors like lack of interest in his partner etc. For all these Patient should be done with enough counseling along with his Partner. so as to get rid of his misbelieve etc

In Physical Problem he should be given Vajeekarana line of Management which will enhance his Vitality.

Other than this:-

Internally Ghrtha’s and drugs that will enhance Vitality is given which will correct the his problems from hormonal level to tissue level

Doing Udvartana(Rubbing with Medicated Powder) with Choorna at the root of Penis below the Umbilicus also holds good

Drugs that acts on Mental Problem’s are also given.

Apasmara Treatment

In Apasmara dosha, Vitiated due to agitation of mind blocks the vessels of Manova Srotas amking the person to get his Mind and Intellect blank, creating a confused state.

The Premonitary Symptoms are Feeling emptiness in heart region, Perspiration, Unconsciousness, Loss of functions of sense organs, Insomnia, Excessive Salivation, Giddiness, tastelessness, weakness etc.

Symptoms of Apasmara:-

Getting darkness in front of eyes, disorientation of Intellect, Twitching of hands and legs, Shattering of teeth, Frothy salivation, etc.

Treatment:-

For Vataja apasmara, Basti(Enema) Should be given, For Pittaj apasmara Virechana(Purgation) should be given, In Kaphaja Apasmara Vamana should be done.

As a Primary line of management, teekshna Shodhana like Vamana should be done first since it will stimulate the Srotas(Vessels) of Hrdaya and Manas (Heart and Mind) affected with Vatadi dosha’s.

Other than this:-

Internally Medhya Rasayana that will improve intellect and correct mental disorders should be given internally.

Nasya(instilling medicinal drops to nose) using Teekshna drugs, Doomapana(Smoking medicated Cigar) using Teekshna drugs, Utsadana etc.
