AJEERNA IS THE AMATWAM OF THE DIGESTED FOOD.NOT INDIGESTION.AMATWA OF digested food is due to intake of virudhahara. Here amatwa meant by non absorption of digested FOOD.
If food is completely digested, there wont be Amatwam. When there is indigestion then Ama occurs or in case if one takes food even before the complete digestion of previously taken food then also Ama can occur. So its Ajeerna which leads to the formation of Ama.
Ama Ajeerna is the condition in which Amla rasa from Amashaya is not secreted adequately, Amajirna is caused due to vitiation of Kledaka Kapha. Further Ama can result in other disease like Visuchika and Alasaka.
