Yavanyadi Choornam is an Ayurvedic medicine, The above ingredients are powdered separately and mixed together in specified quantity. This mixture of above mentioned 21 dry herbal powder along with sugar and salt used in the management digestive system and respiratory system related complaints. It is also known as kapittashtaka churnam
Ayurvedic properties:
Roga karma: Athisara, grahani,gulma,udararoga, kasa, shwasa, agnimandya, arsha, peenasa and arochaka.
Dosha karma: Tridoshahara especially kaphavatahara.
Agni karma: Deepana, pachana.
Other gunas: Vatanulomaka, srotoshodaka, hridya and shulahara.
With all the above said properties, this particular medicinal formulation can be used in Digestion related problems like Diarrhoea, indigestion, bloating, loss of appetite, piles, distaste Respiratory system related complaints like asthama, cough, rhinitis and sinusitis, piles, anorexia, sprue.
Dose : 2 to 4 grams along with honey or butter milk twice daily after food.
Yavanyadi Choornam Side Effects: In very higher doses, it may cause gastric irritation.
